Do you remember a few months ago when we were promised by everyone on the left that no tax dollars would be used to fund abortions under ObamaCare? President Obama even issued an Executive Order to make the abortion funding ban clear. Well, Obama’s Executive Order doesn’t seem to have much weight and the federal dollars are already being doled out to provide tax-payer funded abortions.

Boehner and other Republicans point to reports that the Health and Human Services Department is giving Pennsylvania $160 million to set up a new high-risk insurance pool that will cover any abortion that is legal in the state.

“The fact that the high-risk pool insurance program in Pennsylvania will use federal taxpayer dollars to fund abortions is unconscionable,” Boehner said in a statement on Tuesday.

The President’s response? Surprise surprise, he doesn’t have one.

“Just last month at the White House, I asked President Obama to provide the American people with a progress report on the implementation of his Executive Order, which purports to ban taxpayer-funding of abortions. Unfortunately, the President provided no information, and the American people are still waiting for answers.”

Give Obama a few days for this story to hit critical mass and then come out with some nonsensical untrue statement. But at least HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius is talking, right?

In a May 13 letter to Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, Boehner asked if her department has provided guidance to the states on how to implement the president’s Executive Order on abortion funding. Boehner also asked Sebelius if the new federal high-risk pools would exclude abortion coverage.

He says his questions remain unanswered.

Stooge and Lame-Duck Congressman Bart Stupak was unavailable for comment.

It's not just the point that the President is Pro-Abortion which is contrary to church tenant... he's way to the left of most abortion supporting Americans... he's pro infanticide.

I can’t speak for the Catholic Church. As a Baptist, I’m probably the last person they’d want talking on their behalf. So I’ll leave the Notre Dame debate to someone else.

But the media, including our supposed right-wing Fox News, is missing the big picture regarding Obama’s visit to Notre Dame. It’s not just the point that the President is Pro-Abortion which is contrary to church tenet… he’s way to the left of most abortion supporting Americans… he’s pro infanticide.

A distinction without a difference? Both are terribly wrong, but while I can accept some want to disagree when life begins (which is the crutch of the pro-abortion movement), there is no question that infanticide involves taking a life. And thus infanticide is less tolerated, accepted only by the very fringe of the left. Even much of the left and most members of congress agree with me that infanticide is reprehensible and should be banned.

But not President Barack Obama. The Born-Alive Infants Protection Act of 2002 was passed by unanimous consent in the United States House of Representatives and Senate… but as a state legislator in Illinois, Barack Obama vehemently protested the same bill. Barack Obama supported, on multiple occasions, denying treatment to babies who were born, because their mother’s had wanted them to die. Crying babies were born, thrown in trash cans, and allowed to suffocate to death… with no care or compassion. Not much of a surprise for someone who believes children are a punishment, but to the rest of us, it is the worst kind of evil.

So when you hear the media downplay the protests at Notre Dame over Barack Obama’s stance on abortion… don’t by all the spin. Catholics have tolerated and supported pro-abortion candidates for far too long… but this is even more than that. This is about a Catholic University rewarding someone who is not just pro-abortion, but he’s pro-infanticide. If liberals Ted Kennedy and Hillary Clinton even think that’s wrong… surely the rest of us can agree.

The left is going to push their agenda and abortion advocacy on children this age (and younger) regardless of what we want. In that sense, I'm very thankful there are girls like this pushing back.

I’m a bit uneasy about this only because I’m not sure any young child should be making political arguments. There’s too much room for indoctrination, which leftists feed off of. Still it seems this girl is doing the speech for a project (hopefully with a topic of her own choosing) and not something that was pushed upon her. She certainly does not seem to be exploited… just giving an essay, and a very good essay it is. If there was all the post-production glitz of some of the Obama videos this year, I’d be more concerned. As this stands, it seems like a very grounded and intelligent girl who likely lives in a Christian household with parents involved in her growth.

And in a society that is offering girls not much older than this the “right” to an abortion (often without parental consent), then it is imperative that girls not much older than this hear both sides. I’d rather they didn’t have to think about it. 12 year-old children should be playing with toys or involved in sports or something. They’re biggest concern should be what to do at recess. But that is not the world we live in. Our children are getting older and the barriers are falling down. The left is going to push their agenda and abortion advocacy on children this age (and younger) regardless of what we want. In that sense, I’m very thankful there are girls like this pushing back.

Watch the whole thing. I promise its worth it.

Via HotAir

And before people try comparing this video to the Obama-indoctrination garbage from the fall, there is a huge difference. Besides the obvious involvement of adults coordinating the production, the Obama videos were also clearly different in content. This girl is speaking about an issue, the Obama videos were glorifying a man. The girl is talking facts and making an argument about an issue while the Obama videos were offering platitudes and praise for a person. If you don’t understand the disparity between the two, then contrary to the misplaced praise for your Obama-Savior… there is no hope.

So much for governing from the center, indeed. On top of President-Elect Barack Obama's to-do list is reversing executive orders that prevented using human embryos for research and using tax dollars to fund abortions.

So much for governing from the center, indeed. On top of President-Elect Barack Obama’s to-do list is reversing executive orders that prevented using human embryos for research and using tax dollars to fund abortions.

Obama plans to end the federal ban on funding for human embryonic stem-cell research (hEsc) and upend the Mexico City rule that forbids federal foreign aid to be used to promote abortion. He can expect a big controversy on both.

It appears Barack Obama has chosen the first fight of his Presidency, and if true, I hope all of you are prepared to fight him with me. I don’t equate “patriotism” with funding abortions, and I bet most of you don’t either.

While American voters feel some ambiguity on abortion, they overwhelmingly do not want their tax dollars paying for or facilitating abortions. The Mexico City rule forbade federal funds to be used to facilitate the acquisition of abortions by groups abroad, much as the Hyde Amendment prohibited federal funds to be used in the same manner domestically. If Obama rescinds it, he can expect a great deal of outrage from pro-life groups and a reopening of the debate over the use of tax money to procure abortions anywhere.

These aren’t exactly low-hanging fruit, nor are they the acts of someone who professed to find middle ground between pro-life and pro-choice groups. These are the acts of a pro-abortion absolutist, and they presage the sponsorship of Planned Parenthood’s Freedom of Choice Act. So much for governing from the center.

If its ok for Melissa Ethridge to stop paying her taxes because she is upset that Proposition 8 passed, than it is certainly ok for me to stop paying my taxes if they will be used to kill innocent babies. Of course if true, refusing to pay your taxes won’t be enough to stop this abomination… its only enough to land yourself in jail. There likely will be no way of stopping it, but we must try. And it gives further credence to the idea that we must start working to put Conservatives in congress NOW. We also need to use this to presuade all Christians and pro-life supporters who voted for Obama in 2008 to not make the same mistake in 2012.

The situation is messy. The circumstances far from ideal. But the Palins are a real family, facing real issues that affect millions of families. Except now they are doing it in the public spotlight.

Bristol Palin, the 17-year-old daughter of Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin, is pregnant. And unmarried. And keeping the baby. And marrying the father. Life doesn’t get more real than this, and the Palins know this. And they are prepared. And supportive of their daughter.

We have been blessed with five wonderful children who we love with all our heart and mean everything to us,” the Palins said in the statement. “Our beautiful daughter Bristol came to us with news that as parents we knew would make her grow up faster than we had ever planned. We’re proud of Bristol’s decision to have her baby and even prouder to become grandparents. As Bristol faces the responsibilities of adulthood, she knows she has our unconditional love and support.” The Palins asked the media to respect their family’s privacy.

The situation is messy. The circumstances far from ideal. But the Palins are a real family, facing real issues that affect millions of families. Except now they are doing it in the public spotlight. It will be hard for Bristol these next few months. It will be hard for Sarah, and her entire family. But they seem to have a strong family, one that doesn’t get going when the going gets tough. They put their family first, no matter what, and hold strong to one another. They are a family that sticks together, that presses on during the hard times. Sarah and Todd are parents that set a great example of how important it is to love and support your children, even when they make a bad choice or fall into trouble. Barack Obama on the other hand, has a different idea of family support should one of their daughters “make a mistake”.

I am going to teach them first of all about values and morals. But if they make a mistake, I don’t want them punished with a baby. – Barack Obama

And I couldn’t have said it better myself.

I knew it was a Pro-Life message, but sadly I wasn’t sure what the sender was referring to exactly. I can’t imagine why I didn’t hear about this story through traditional news media (yeah right), but a quick Google search enlightened me on the subject.

Google turned up a few entries, including this one on OneNewsNow. It seems back in April, Barack Obama was trying to explain his views on abstinence-only education when he made the following statement:

Look, I got two daughters — nine years old and six years old. I am going to teach them first about values and morals, but if they make a mistake, I don’t want them punished with a baby. I don’t want them punished with an STD at age 16.

Now take a moment to let that soak in. According to that statement, pregnancy is the same as an STD, “punishment” for a “mistake”. With that rationale, its no wonder Obama and other liberals don’t mind abortion. To them its no different for getting caught by the meter maid. You didn’t put your quarter in the parking meter and you’ve been caught… now you could have you car impounded or just pay your ticket and move on with your life.

Sad that the blessing of life is reduced to a simple mistake for the man who hopes to be the most powerful person in the world. If, God forbid, he is elected and swears to uphold the Constitution of the United States… I wonder where he draws the line in protecting our life, liberty and pursuit of happiness. Why is my life so worthy of that protection while another is just a simple mistake? I guess that’s one more difference between the church I am a member of and the one Barack Obama spent 20 years attending.

Dr. Janice Crouse of the Concerned Women for America’s Beverly LaHaye Institute is quoted in the article as saying: “We are diminished as a nation when we view babies as anything less than God’s gift.”

I couldn’t agree more.

Seemingly lost among reports of a Fed rate cut, Fred Thompson’s withdrawal and Heath Ledger’s death was news of a march on Washington today. Michelle Malkin gets it right… had it been thousands of illegals or anti-war activists marching, I’m sure your cable news channel would have found time to talk about it. But the thousands marching were Pro-Life Activists… thus its utter silence from the MSM.

Today was the 35th Annual March for Life, where thousands of Pro-Life Activists took to the streets in Washington, DC to remind us of the travesty of Roe v. Wade. Its hard to believe its been 35 years. Its hard to fathom that this struggle has been going on since before I was born. Hopefully it will be a distant memory by the time I have children of my own.
