A small woman who was a giant among men is finally at peace. Coach Kay Yow, after fighting cancer on and off for two decades is fighting no more.
If only character were enough to beat cancer.
Kay Yow is taking a leave of absence for the remainder of the 2008-2009 basketball season. The NC State Women’s Basketball coach continues to fight breast cancer, a disease she has battled on and off since 1987.
