Apparently you can become overweight as easily as you catch a cold.  In fact, according to a study, you can become fat because you caught a cold.  If you catch it, the virus AD-36 can cause your fat cells to replicate, turning six packs into sixteen extra pounds as if by magic.

In an age when no one takes responsibility for anything, its good to know there is science to reinforce that an increasing waistlines is not your fault.  Of course some scientists also believe in global warming… we had six inches of snow last week that might refute that.

So forget about that New Year’s resolution and feel better about canceling your gym membership.  You’re not fat, you’ve got a cold.  Now get the t-shirt and smile about it.
