Randy over at Randy’s Right posted the response he received from Senator Richard Burr (R-NC) regarding Cap & Trade. Senator Burr is opposed to Cap and Trade legislation, and details his reasons why.

Around 50% of our nations electricity comes from coal. So when Barack Obama calls for bankrupting coal plants, and skyrocketing electricity rates it matters. It will matter when your already high electric bills goes up. It will matter when people in Ohio, Colorado, Indiana, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and elsewhere are looking for jobs. It will matter when the increase in energy costs cause the price of goods and services to go up, just like happened when oil prices rose to new highs this summer.
