This may just be the pinnacle of leftist hypocrisy. Democratic Congressman Eugene Green (29th District of Texas) is requiring ID checks at his town hall meetings. Funny, Congressman Green has voted AGAINST ID checks at the voting booth.

Triangle Conservatives Unite organized a dinner tonight with Representative Nelson Dollar from Wake County District 36. I’m sure Representative Dollar had important things to say about fiscal responsibility and fighting the spending and corruption that has consumed the North Carolina Capitol. Unfortunately, Representative Dollar didn’t show up.

I’m glad someone is speaking on behalf of the people in Washington. Too bad there aren’t more like Michele Bachmann in the Capitol.

I’m a Governor Jindal fan. As such, I’ve watched videos of his speeches before. I’m not sure his delivery in the Republican Response was the best, but I’m not sure he could have done it any different.

Apparently Democrats do not. At least that’s the signal they are sending by adding a House of Representatives member for the District of Columbia.

As was widely reported yesterday, Weasel Chuck Schumer (Senator from New York) famously said on the Senate floor that the American people don’t care about the pork in the stimulus bill. As infuriating as that is, its not the worst thing Schumer said.

Want to know why this pork-laden “stimulus” package is so large? Just look to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. What does LLS have to do with the stimulus? A lot.

Like a gambling addict, you keep borrowing more money that you don’t have, in hopes of striking it big. Like a drug addict you keep spiraling down hill, oblivious or unconcerned with the consequences of your actions, only worried about your next score. Its time to stop.

That’s what Nancy Pelosi said she was going to preside over when she took the reigns as Speaker of the House. The Most Ethical Congress Ever. Yeah, right.
Monday she said Representative Charles Rangel would not lose his chairmanship of the House Ways and Means Committee, even though he has admitted to problems with his taxes and has hired a forensic accountant to figure it all out and a new attorney to represent him against ethics charges.

Some Senators and Representatives are asking constituents to send their gas receipts along with stories of how prices have affected their families to Congress. Senator Inhofe has asked Oklahomans, Representative Bill Sali has asked his constituents in Iowa. Whether your elected officials are asking or not… send it to them so Nancy Pelosi [...]

She can’t sell books, and she certainly isn’t presiding over the most open and most ethical Congress in history, or doing the people’s work while she’s off shilling her wares on a 5-week paid vacation. She’s blocking a vote on drilling domestically for oil even while the us real Americans are suffering at the [...]

These, likely well-intentioned, bills offer vast powers to the federal government to determine how your children should be raised, educated (medicated, indoctrinated)… without much if any protections for the parents. The potential for abuse is sweeping.
