Thank You Mr. President.
I’m in the middle of installing a closet system in our bath remodel that is taking entirely too long… but I stopped this evening to watch our President give his final national address. I’m glad I did.

President George W. Bush just gave what is billed as the final press conference of his presidency. He opened with some gracious remarks about the press and self-deprecating humor (“sometimes you misunderestimated me”).

Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh continued their dominance in Women’s Beach Volleyball, and yesterday won the gold for the United States of America. In their exuberance following the match, enjoying one of sports’ greatest accomplishments, they actually thought to mention and thank President Bush.

Attorney General Mukasey?
Considering I am not a legal scholar, nor have I attended law school (yet)… I am currently searching for more analysis of a case mentioned here. On the surface of it, the rumors of a Mukasey appointment to AG does not seem like a good choice… but I’ll withhold judgment until I know more.
MIKE HUCKABEE RESPONDS TO BUSH SPEECH
First, Chris Matthews and Keith Olberman are schmucks. Governor Huckabee on the other hand comes across more professional and more genuine than 95% of the people who ever make it to either Mathews’ or Olderman’s shows. I agree with Governor Huckabee’s comments 100%.
