Obama Full of Regrets
One interesting opinion piece in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution mulls over some of Obama numerous regrets as of late. Which makes me wonder, with his recent moves and flip-flops, how many people are regretting their primary vote? How many more could be regretting four years of this clown? As the AJC’s Luke Boggs points out, you “don’t get a bunch of easy do-overs in the Oval Office.”
Barack Obama: Even More Change
Joe Scarborough (apparently the only non-liberal left at NBC) takes Barack Obama to task in a post today. And its not just troop withdrawal. From issues like abortion, gun rights, and FISA — Obama has been moving to the right.
Of course that’s this week. Who knows what change is next.
Do your Children Speak Spanish?
This just enrages me. I don’t have a problem with encouraging our children to become bilingual, but that has nothing to do with the fact that immigrants (legal or otherwise) should learn to speak ENGLISH.
My children should learn to speak another language to better themselves, not to appease someone who has come here to take advantage of our opportunities and refuses to assimilate.
UPDATE: Apparently Obama doesn’t speak Spanish. His children likely don’t either since he’s pulled them from the cameras (even though they were there yesterday). Gee Barack, do you ever think before you speak… or are they just words.
Barack Obama: Changing Positions Daily
Well, the Democrats have done it again. Like John Kerry before him, the presumptive Democrat Presidential Nominee Barack Obama is rightfully being labeled a “flip-flopper”. That’s what happens when you will do anything to get elected and winning is more important than being right (or having principles).
Children Are Not Punishment
Today I received an e-mail asking about t-shirts that state “Children Are Not Punishment“. I knew it was a Pro-Life message, but sadly I wasn’t sure what the sender was referring to exactly. I can’t imagine why I didn’t hear about this story through traditional news media (yeah right), but a quick Google search enlightened me on the subject.
Google turned up a few entries, including this one on OneNewsNow. It seems back in April, Barack Obama was trying to explain his views on abstinence-only education when he made the following statement:
Look, I got two daughters — nine years old and six years old. I am going to teach them first about values and morals, but if they make a mistake, I don’t want them punished with a baby. I don’t want them punished with an STD at age 16.
Now take a moment to let that soak in. According to that statement, pregnancy is the same as an STD, “punishment” for a “mistake”. With that rationale, its no wonder Obama and other liberals don’t mind abortion. To them its no different for getting caught by the meter maid. You didn’t put your quarter in the parking meter and you’ve been caught… now you could have you car impounded or just pay your ticket and move on with your life.
Sad that the blessing of life is reduced to a simple mistake for the man who hopes to be the most powerful person in the world. If, God forbid, he is elected and swears to uphold the Constitution of the United States… I wonder where he draws the line in protecting our life, liberty and pursuit of happiness. Why is my life so worthy of that protection while another is just a simple mistake? I guess that’s one more difference between the church I am a member of and the one Barack Obama spent 20 years attending.
Dr. Janice Crouse of the Concerned Women for America’s Beverly LaHaye Institute is quoted in the article as saying: “We are diminished as a nation when we view babies as anything less than God’s gift.”
I couldn’t agree more.
Obama Troll (Jaylyn) Speaks
I’m still moving stuff over from my old blog (elephantusa.blogspot.com) and getting stuff situated here. Today, I received a lovely and highly articulate comment from an Obama Troll named Jaylyn (who didn’t have the courage to link to her own blog or profile). A copy of that comment is placed below (edited to remove the profanity):

See, I told you it was articulate. Jaylyn, whomever you are, if you are an example of an Obama supporter than I am very proud not to be on your side. You are not my worst nightmare, but an Obama Presidency certainly is. Actually, that’s only partially true… people like you having the right to vote is also high on the nightmare list. Who needs civil discourse when there are raving lunatics like you who have nothing better to do than post profanity-laced diatribes on websites. I articulate my reasons for opposing Obama. And I’m not a big McCain fan either (which I have also explained) but consider him much better than the alternative (the Socialist you seem to support). Compare my commentary to your comments — a potty-mouthed rant laced with some semblance of a pathetic threat. My worst nightmare? Not exactly… but if you are part of my country and our future than Heaven help us all.
Why don’t you join your Lemming buddies and go ahead and jump off the cliff. There’s no need to wait for November. I promise, the rest of us will do fine without you.
Anti-Obama Vandalism?
If you spend 15 seconds reading the entire article, you would understand that this was not likely caused by actual Anti-Obama sentiment, but rather some idiots just being stupid who couldn’t think of anything much to say. They did also write pro-legalization and anti-prison messages on the cars (not exactly messages consistent with the normal anti-obama crowd), along with “How ‘Bout them Gators” and stealing gas caps. But the headline will just be “Anti-Obama” vandalism” and you’ll find some talking heads using it to talk about racism in this country…. how far we’ve come with Mr. Obama on the ticket but how far we still have to go.
This kind of thing getting news attention will only strengthen the Obama candidacy and further entrench his position with the mindless Lemmings who believe he offers change but don’t really pay attention to what that change is. I’ve been telling friends for a while, whether he becomes martyr/messiah to the masses or President to the country… he really can’t lose. Too bad its not based on anything he has to offer, but rather our society’s need to feel good about itself by electing a black man, even if that man has nothing to offer us but socialism, higher takes and cultural regression.
Its sad really… Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. dreamed that people would one day be judged on the content of their character rather than the color of their skin. Yet time and time again, Obama’s character is deemed by the mindless and the media as not important or racist if you even question it. And as my wife points out… comparisons to JFK are just ridiculous. JFK asked us to find out what we could do for our country, but all Obama promises are things that the country can do for you: free health care, free college tuition, no personal responsibility for your mortgages, no personal responsibility for anything… the list goes on and on…
Its time for a change alright. Its time for the masses and the media to collectively wake up. They hate Bush so bad that they are looking for the opposite of Bush… an Anti-War Black man who is extremely articulate and doesn’t sound like he’s from the South. The so-called “change” is so enticing that they don’t know or care what the change is. The very fiber of our nation and our greatness as a country is at stake, and the change they promise will only intensify the decline.

Personally, this month has been crazy for the AmericanElephant, but that doesn’t excuse me missing some linkage by Fox’s Heather Nauert, in her post “Obama Undies, Candidate Cola, —Who Buys This Stuff? And FNC’s Youth Vote Special“.
Heather, lots of people buy this stuff. Our sales, especially for Anti-Obama gear have gone up dramatically since Hillary ceded the nomination. We’ve also been selling quite a bit of Anti-Global Warming gear as well. Conservatives might not be as vocal as those on the left… we’re off taking care of our families and making payroll… but we still hold our ideals and love of country close to our heart and sometimes we wear it on our sleeves. And yes… underwear works too.
The Audacity of a Phony
Twenty years of listening to racist and hateful sermons wasn’t enough to drive Barack Obama to leave his church, but the heat of the Presidential campaign is. What a phony.
It Will Be Back [Updated]
Last Night’s Latest “Anti-Obama T-Shirt of the Day” was unceremoniously axed by the folks at CafePress today. Of course it has nothing to do with it being against Obama (who they salivate over daily and longing dream for at night). No, they killed it because you might think Obama’s campaign actually created it themselves. Never mind the countless other designs that use items more similar to the Obama Campaign’s actual intellectual property (obviously were not talking about the candidate himself). The problem is its similar to the Obama Campaign’s designs AND its Anti-Obama. Of course the hypocrisy with CafePress is not at all surprising. Any other campaign and their designs are fair game by the CafePowersThatBe, but Anti-Obama designs consistently strike a nerve with them. I guess, like their candidate, they are just too hyper-sensitive about criticism.
By the way, why is it that Bush’s comments were just directed at Obama? What about Pelosi’s trip to Syria a while back, or Jimmy Carter’s traitorous visits with Hamas? Yes it could be applied to Barack Obama, but it could also apply to THE REST of the Democratic Party of Appeasement. Truth Hurts doesn’t it?
Back to the T-Shirt… When I get back to the “drawing board” I’ll make it a little less similar to Obama Schwag and you can once again order the shirt. Until them, let’s not forget that free speech, caricatures, editorials/editorial cartoons, and the speech latitude normally given when you are dealing with political campaigns only apply when you are leftist making a leftist argument… but when you are attacking Barack Obama… well, you’re just a racist or worse. And so goes speech from now through November.
