Harry Reid just announced that the House and Senate have reached a compromise, and he thanked the three “patriotic” Republicans Arlen Specter, Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins. The inference is obviously that those Republicans who don’t support this pathetic so-called stimulus bill are not patriotic.
Then, Susan Collins got up and spoke thanking her brave Republican colleagues, Arlen Specter and Olympia Snowe.
They are not brave, they are cowards. You all are. Cowards with no sense of history or appreciation of capitalism. Cowards who have sold the prosperity of our children down the river because they didn’t have the backbone or the intelligence to do what was right.
It’s time for hereos. It’s time for men to emerge who understand where we have been and where we are heading. It’s time for Americans who believe in the fundamental philosophies that made our country great, instead of political hacks who kowtow to pork-laced packages and the politics of fear.
It’s time to replace Arlen Specter, Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins with actual Conservatives. It’s open season on RINOs – let’s go hunting.
