The Impending Depression

The recession and economic crisis has come as no surprise in our house. My wife and I have been talking about it for nearly two years. Being a mortgage broker, I was one of the first to see and ultimately feel its effects first hand… and we’ve been preparing for the worst ever since.

Still, nothing has scared me as much as this segment from Glenn Beck’s program tonight. How can our money maintain its value when the amount of printed money is increasing exponentially? How can my children and their children possibly have a stable future with a currency on the verge of collapse? The only benefit to this massive printing of money and thus devaluation of the dollar is that my current debt will actually be less in future real dollars. Of course so will my future income… and that’s where the scary part begins.
