Neil Cavuto on FoxNews just reported that Steve Jobs is handing over day-to-day operations of Apple, Inc. to Tim Cook. Probably no other company in the world is more identifiable or dependent on its CEO. Sad news for Apple and Apple fans (myself included) indeed. But moreso sad news for the family of a man who is obviously under more stress and health-related problems than had previously been announced.
Here’s hoping Mr. Jobs has a quick recovery and that his pancreatic cancer has not returned. I may not like his politics, but I certainly admire and respect his creativity and well-earned success.
UPDATE: The WallStreet Journal has the statement Jobs sent to Apple Employees today regarding his health and medical leave of absence.
