When a Congressman tells a constituent “I don’t care if you trust me” its time they are removed from office. Without trust in our representatives, what do we have? The arrogance is astounding, but the truth is crystal clear. Representative Brad Miller (D – NC) should be serving his last term in public office.
“I don’t care if you trust me” might be the first honest statement Brad Miller has made, and it should signal the end of his representation of the citizens of North Carolina’s 13th district.
Representatives are supposed to serve with the “public trust”. Failing that, what are you serving for? If you don’t care if your constituents “trust you” then who are you beholden to? Clearly not the people you are supposed to represent. You don’t care if we trust you? Start packing buddy.
Do you think at its core it is imperative that our Represenatives respect their constituents and are trustworthy? If so, please write Congressman Brad Miller. Be civil, but be firm. Demand he respect his constituents and value the public trust.
