Message to Barack, its over.
… or at least it should be. The elitism, the ego, the sense of entitlement… its all gone to far. Think about it… do you really want this guy to be President?
One of two things happened today. Either Obama implied Governor Palin is a pig, or he is too stupid to realize that is what it sounded like. Either way its shows he is an elitist chauvinist who clearly doesn’t have the judgment to lead. He also implied that John McCain was a smelly old fish… which gives further credence that the “pig” line was referring to Palin.
From Politico:
Amie Parnes reports from Lebanon, VA:
Obama poked fun of McCain and Palin’s new “change” mantra.
“You can put lipstick on a pig,” he said as the crowd cheered. “It’s still a pig.”
“You can wrap an old fish in a piece of paper called change. It’s still gonna stink.”
“We’ve had enough of the same old thing.”
OF COURSE the crowd got the joke… the pig was a very loosely veiled swipe at Sarah Palin, and the old fish at John McCain. So in one speech he managed to make a potentially sexist and unquestionably low attack at Sarah Palin and further attacked John McCain’s age.
And before all my lefty friends get on here and cry foul and I’m being too Politically Correct, take a second a look in the mirror. If John McCain had interjected some Curious George reference in his stump speech you would all be calling him a racist.
There are two choices. You can take Obama at his word that he wasn’t actually calling Palin a pig, but if that’s true then he just became the dumbest campaigner on the planet… because the crowd obviously thought he was talking about her, and so do must intellectually honest readers/listeners.
On the flip side, you can choose not to believe him. In that case he was actually calling Palin a pig and McCain a smelly old fish. Is that the kind of talk you expect from the harbinger of change and potentially the next Commander-in-Chief?
But, the snobbish attacks didn’t end there. In the same speech he also took a side swipe at Palin about her five kids…
Obama added that “it is not going to be easy … John McCain has a compelling biography, you know Sarah Palin is an interesting story.”
The crowd booed.
“No, she’s new!” Obama said. “She hasn’t been on the scene, you know, she’s got five kids and my hat goes off to anybody who’s looking after five. I’ve got two and they tire Michelle and me out!”
I’m sure the point of that little commentary is that if two kids tire Michelle and Barack out, how will Sarah possibly be able to take care of 5 (much less one that has Down’s Syndrome) and run the VP’s office. Only true Lemmings will believe Obama wasn’t making a jab at Palin with that remark.
So there you have it, sexist, chauvinistic, demeaning, and ageist attacks from the supposed candidate of change. I’ve got some change for you Barry, enough to buy you a train ticket back to Chicago. We’ve had about enough.
Polls don’t look good, the campaign is getting desperate and apparently Obama is just falling apart. If this is how he acts when the campaign isn’t going his way, how will he react at a time of real crisis? Its time for Barack Obama to hit the road. He’s definitely not ready to lead.

Victor Davis Hanson also noticed the entire quote with both the “pig” and “old fish” references. I wish more people would pay attention to that. This line from Obama was no accident, and people need to take the whole quote in context to fully appreciate that.
UPDATE 9/11/08:
I’m so sick of some media members telling me emphatically that Obama was not talking about Sarah Palin. They love their Great One, and he says he wasn’t, so he wasn’t. I guess in their pursuit of a journalism degree, they never took and English lit or poetry classes… classes which teach you about analogies and allusions. Hoda Kotb, Katie Couric, Campbell Brown, et all… I’m not stupid and I DID TAKE IT IN CONTEXT. CLEARLY Barack Obama was talking about Sarah Palin as the “pig” and John McCain the “old fish”. Clearly he was saying they are more of the same and comparing them to Bush. You apologists have no credibility left. We all know that. So how dare you get on your high horse, call us stupid and say that there is “no doubt” or “no question” that he was not referring to Governor Palin. The only thing there is no longer any “doubt” or “question” about is why you people still have a job.
Yes you need to see/hear the whole thing in context and the media has been doing a horrible job in doing that. Leave off the old fish remark and there is some credible speculation about what or who Barry was referring to… but when you see the whole thing… the lipstick on a pig comment immediately followed by the old fish comment, and you consider what is certainly Governor Palin’s most famous line… you know exactly what Barry was talking about. Its too bad you people are so in the tank for him that you don’t see that.

Barack is the elitist pig here. It’s so obvious. One should expect of their President a certain degree of humility and decency, one who respects others and puts the country first. Barack possesses none of those characteristics. He is not worthy of the Presidency, and barely worthy of the Senate seat he holds. Go back home, Barack (wherever home actually is for you). America doesn’t need another snide politician.
