In his latest bribe to try and gain votes, Barack Obama is promising Senior Citizens that if he is elected President, they can spend their twilight years free from income taxes.
Where will the bribes… errr… entitlements end? I’m freaking sick of it, because guess who has to pay for it? You and me.
Free health care, free college tuition, money given to fight world poverty, alternative energy sources with no drilling at home, etc… etc… etc…. all of these things cost money. And its going to be people like me… about to turn thirty trying to build something from little more than nothing, trying to save for my own retirement, for the children I hope to have and their education, etc. I guess it will be good if I don’t have to pay income taxes in my retirement, because if Obama is elected President I won’t have a single dollar to spare.
This is typical liberal B.S., buy votes by promising entitlements to people so they become beholden to your promises and federal government programs and are locked in to supporting you and your party in the future for fear their new entitlements will be wiped away.
Call it what you want, but its a bride for votes… of course what do you expect from a candidate who brides college students to hear him speak by promising them a free Dave Matthews concert.
This guy is a joke and he’s a fraud, and all of his “plans” are nothing more than socialist policies that history has proven fail and blind handouts to groups in exchange for votes.
What happened to America? What happened to The American Dream? What happened to the belief that you could come here legally, free from interference, and make your own way? What happened to the concept that hard work and American ingenuity was all you needed to build something for your family and promise a little better for the next generation? That is how I was raised and that is what I believe. Apparently, I’m becoming the minority in my own backyard.
Who needs to work hard, save for themselves, try to make something of themselves, or carve out their own piece of the American pie when you have Nanny Government doing it for you? I suppose I shouldn’t worry about my dwindling savings or bank accounts… Barack Obama knows how to spend it better than I do anyway, right?
Give me a break. WAKE UP PEOPLE. If I wanted to pay ridiculously high taxes, live under socialist rule and participate in little more than a caste system I’d move to any number of European countries. Barack is worried that they don’t like us enough. If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, they should love Barack.
The class warfare needs to stop. The divisions need to stop. From a candidate that professes change, Barack Obama sure hasn’t offered any yet. Marxist policies and bribes for votes have been around longer than Barack has been alive. I guess they don’t teach history classes at Harvard.
Sadly, I’m not sure they teach it at any other institutions either, as recent graduates seem to be clinging to Obama’s every word as well. He promised them free college tuition or breaks from their student loans… that along with some concert tickets is good enough for a vote. Never mind the burdensome taxes and affronts to their future they will face under an Obama Administration. They’ve never had to pay taxes, make a payroll, hire and fire employees or save for their children’s college… they don’t understand the barriers government policies (and handouts) place in our everyday life. It sounds good to say that someone else will pay your taxes and Grandma and Grandpa won’t. Never mind in a few short years they will likely be that someone else… and will never be able to get anywhere else if all of these so-called policies actually come to pass.
So in a way, I suppose its for the best Obama and many liberals want to make college education free… its obviously not worth the expense. They don’t understand history and thus we’re likely to repeat history’s mistakes. The young and the old alike, along with the rest of the handout seekers will take us off the cliff like hapless Lemmings… clueless to the failure that will be inevitably before us and the shackles they are placing on American society… but hey, at least it will be a change.
