The college football postseason is not the President’s business, nor is is Orin Hatch’s business, or any other power-hungry politician in Washington. Yet that doesn’t stop them from “throw[ing their] weight around”. If they want to debate the merits of a postseason playoff as a fan, that’s fine… but once they start bringing the weight and investigatory power of the government into the debate, the seriousness of any and all debate on any and all other issues is over. The Justice Department is going to look into college football rankings and the BCS system? Please.
If Utah doesn’t like how they were treated in the BCS last year, they have two options. Leave or try to change the system from within. Either way, it has NOTHING TO DO WITH THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. These clowns screw up everything they touch, can’t they at least leave college football alone?
