Today President Obama will give a speech directed at America’s youth. We wrote about it before and created a firestorm. Since then, the lesson plans have changed and quite likely the speech has changed too. The text of the speech is now available and seems innocuous enough, except it seems more about Obama and not so much about the students. Discounting that as nothing more than a product of the man’s super-sized ego, questions still remain.
Why now? Why didn’t the President want to speak to the school children after his inauguration? Why inject a “stay in school” type speech in the middle of the health care debate? Is it just that school is starting again? President Obama is speaking to a joint session of Congress tomorrow, do you think its a coincidence, or is he using every outlet to improve his poll ratings and ObamaCare’s chances of success?
Knowing President Obama’s radical past, his own admitted flirtations with radicals and his Marxist tendencies along with the radicals and Marxists he associates with… do you think going after the youth really never entered this man’s mind?
There’s more, much more. As Michelle Malkin rightly points out and we tried last week, its not the speech, its the subtext. It’s the motivation behind the speech, not the words.
And remember, without pressure from Conservatives like you, parents likely wouldn’t have seen the speech beforehand. Without pressure from Conservatives like you, other parents likely wouldn’t have known about this and granted their rightful choice to decide whether their children would participate or not. Without pressure from Conservatives like you, the questionnaire that focused mostly on Obama Hero Worship would still be used, and who knows what lessons would have gone on afterwards. You made a difference. We made a difference. And with vigilance we can continue to make a difference. It is up to you to raise your children. It is up to you to protect this nation for their future. Keep up the good fight.
You’ve made the difference? Really? I think the speech posted was going to be the exact same speech he would have given otherwise.

Yeah Samantha… I’m sure that was the SAME EXACT SPEECH he was going to give.. that’s why he couldn’t release the transcript until yesterday. If it didn’t change, why not release the speech last week when the heat got ratcheted up? They had a lesson plans prepared last week (which the scrapped thanks to opposition voices), you don’t think they had the speech prepared then too? Please.
Certainly the speech changed as did the lessons and the rhetoric. And thanks to responsible parents and conservatives who were actually paying attention, many parents were informed and able to chose whether their students would participate or not.
