Doctors and Emergency Rooms have to help people, regardless of their ability to pay. That makes the “lack of care” argument that propels the universal health care agenda a myth, but it also provides fodder for those who want to oppose the upcoming health care boondoggle.
In order for people not to be charged more or denied coverage based on risk factors or illness, two things must happen.
- All American citizens will be forced to have health care either through their employer or paying for the government plan.
- In order for the costs to be “equitable” people will pay what the government deems they can afford, not what their risk factors dictate. If costs can not be based on risk factors, that means they have to be based on income. So citizens who make more money will pay a higher share than those who make less. The Obama Administration has said as much.
Keep in mind that power-hungry politicians on both sides of the aisle refuse to close our border or send illegal immigrants home in hopes of gaining a stronghold on votes of the ever-growing Hispanic population in our country. And remember that doctors and emergency rooms can not deny care to anyone who doesn’t have proper documentation or insurance.
So while every citizen will be required to pay for their mandated health care, the undocumented population will still get covered for free. Welcome to a Citizenship Tax.
This is something opponents of universal, socialized and/or single-payer health care need to focus on. For people who don’t realize the inherent problems and necessary rationing of universal care… the realization that this is a Citizenship Tax may make a difference. Two issues were winners with Republicans this past fall — securing our borders and domestic energy production. Unfortunately both issues were not fully supported by Republican leaders who were too cowardly to take a stand on principles and instead let Democrats and the media control the issues. But the people were not persuaded. Thousands of Americans picked up the phones, wrote letters and made a substantial impact on legislation on both fronts, without the help of either party establishment or mainstream media. If the issue is focused right, the same could be done for universal health care.
This isn’t an example of xenophobia or lack of compassion. It is about the government taking away our freedoms, redistributing our wealth, and levying another tax on American citizenship to further their political conquests. And it must be stopped.
Oppose the multi-trillion dollar boondoggle of universal health care. Regardless of its ultimate form, one thing is certain, it is a tax that only applies to citizens with benefits that apply to all.
