Piling On – Die GOP, Die

TIME Magazine decided to pile on to the media chorus that the Republican Party is gasping for air.  The one sided hit piece is almost comical, until you realize the author truly believes every leftist talking point they wrote.  According to the piece it is fact that the earth is warming (not true), FDR helped get us out of the Depression (laughable), tax cuts don’t boost revenue (hogwash), all GOP tax cut proposals are for the rich (big lie), Americans don’t approve of waterboarding terrorists (untrue), and a majority of Americans support gay marriage (baloney).  The article also assumes that Americans reject the idea of limited spending and the Republican brand as a whole.

If you get all of your information from liberal pundits and left-wing blogs, you might believe all of that was true.  But its not.  Repeating something over and over again does not make something true.  If it did, Barack Obama would be proven as our Savior and no one would mess with Joe (Biden).

The fact is that more Americans and scientists are skeptical of global warming, The New Deal was a disaster (the costs of which we are still paying), tax cuts have proven to boost tax revenue, even CNN admits most Americans approve of waterboarding terrorists, and the majority of Americans oppose gay marriage.  And in generic ballots, the vote is neck and neck.

Furthermore, tax cuts proposed by George W. Bush and Republicans in recent years ARE NOT SKEWED TOWARDS THE RICH.  Around 40% of Americans don’t pay income taxes at all, so how can you cut something that doesn’t exist?  The idea that these tax cuts are skewed to the rich is a lie that is repeated by liberals ad nauseam.  Even though across the board cuts have proven to propel our economy time and time again, and the percentage of the cuts is ususually greater for those at the bottom that actually pay, liberals still insist on repeating the same tired falsehood stoking the class warfare flames.  To these clowns, the less regressive the income tax, the less fair it is. Forget that something that is regressive by its very nature cannot be fair… but why pay attention to the details?

The media establishment lives in a bubble.  They talk to themselves, and talk down to the rest of us.  Liberal academia and the LA/New York bubble has given them wordly insight that the rest of us stupid serfs could never understand.  They tell us what we are supposed to believe and how we should believe it, and they ridicule those who won’t follow suit.  Anyone who doesn’t follow their rules or who forms any of their own opinions must be destroyed… just ask Miss California.  From their lofty, bubble-enclosed perch, they bark their marching orders at the rest of the nation… Shut Up Christians.  Keep Quite Conservatives.  Die Republicans, Die.

To prove their point they cite non-conservative RINOs who live in another unrealistic bubble (Washington, DC) to tell us that conservatism and the Republican Party is dead.  Yes, John McCain, Olympia Snowe and Arlen Specter are all of the sudden experts on conservatism and the only people to lead us out of the wilderness, while real voices like Mark Sanford and Eric Cantor are virtually insane.  And Joe The Plumber, who they ridiculed during the campaign, is now cited as an expert when he agrees with their goals.  Joe if you change your mind on the Republican Party thing, the liberal media will throw you back under the bus faster than you can say “John McCain”.

The ironic thing is while the media sings the Republican Party death march, they are the ones gasping for air.  When everyone in your audience publishes their own magazine, newspaper or MSM tv show, your circulation can only grow but so large.  While the liberals get more exasperated about the death of the Republican brand, the funeral they are really worried about is their own.  As the Republican Party purges itself of pretenders and excess, its strength will become clear.  And without government takeover or bailout, Time Magazine will join the trash heap of history, like much of the rest of their liberal media friends.
