Think the President’s September 8th address has nothing to do with indoctrination? Think those of us who oppose such things are crazy?
The Salt Lake Tribune reports that this 4 minute video was shown to elementary students at Eagle Bay Elementary. The video actually came out around the inauguration and seems harmless enough until you pay attention to some of the details.
I pledge… to advance stem cell research.
I pledge… to sell my obnoxious car and buy a hybrid.
I pledge to be of service to Barack Obama.
I pledge… to be the change.
I pledge to be a servant to our President…
It also talks about the plastic bags you might be using at the grocery store and the hand gesture you likely make if someone cuts you off in traffic. Is this the kind of message your children need to get at school? Shouldn’t these value judgments be supplied by parents and families and not Hollywood celebrities and school administrators?
I find it incredibly ironic that many on the left have no problem removing the ACTUAL pledge of allegiance from our classroom and then support videos encouraging our children to pledge their allegiance to questionable global warming theories, the advancement of stem cell research, and being a servant of one man.
Want to know why many Americans and Conservatives fear this man, his followers, and his plans for our nation? Never before has an American President used posters of his own likeness or had his own logo created to replace the American flag. Never before have we been asked to pledge our allegiance to a man. Those are the kind of things that happen in totalitarian nations. They are not the kind of things that happen when a people are free.
