  1. Organize for Unborn Human Life

    Good morning,

Just for the record: only a percentage of people who call themselves Catholics without actually embracing the teaching of Christ or the church are the ones who support and promote pro-abortion Catholics. I know polenty of them, I am a Catholic. The people I know who attend church and are involved in ministry are all staunchly pro-life and fervent in their support of it as well as their faith. For the most part, “Catholics” who are pro-”choice” are the ones who only show up at Easter and Christmas to make themselves feel good about their nonexistent Catholic faith and are the same ones we have to remind that abortion and Catholicism are mutually exclusive. As a steadfast witness, my Baptist husband will attest.

So, tryst: we are no tall sitting by our pools on Sunday mornings pontificating over how good it is of us to not interfere with a woman’s right to choose. We are putting blood, sweat and tears into our work for the unborn. We are passionate about God’s mandate on life. We are definitely not tolerating affronts to the teaching of our crucified Lord an Savior, Jesus Christ. We are not discouraged in the face of percieved failure because it’s not about our success, it’s about our obedience to Christ and being committed to work passionately for life regardless of what we see happening before our eyes.

Regarding your “speaking for us” as a non-Catholic, we don’t hold the same misgivings towards other Christians that some may seem to hold against us. The only time I have ever heard a Catholic speak against a Baptist is from someone who converted to Catholicism who had been a Baptist, but I don’t really count him because I think he’s probably prejudiced. I married into a family of Baptists who have come to love me, anyway, once they discovered that much of what they thought about us were myths.

So, speak away! I only suggest you strive for accuracy, perhaps backing it up with statistics.

    God bless you,

    UHL

UHL – Please tell me where I was inaccurate? We’re on the same side here and I don’t believe I made any attacks or accusations against Catholics. But since I am not a Catholic, I cannot and will not speak on behalf of the church.

The only “statistics” you might have needed was that according to Fox, 54% of the Catholic vote in the last election went to Barack Obama. I’m sure it was a similar percentage for Christians in general. Barack Obama’s extreme abortion position and infanticide votes were known to anyone paying attention, so its sad that he received that much of the vote. But if Catholics and Christians in general would make that a priority when they voted, many of the pro-abortion politicians we have in all levels of elected office would be looking for new jobs.
