Tuesday we posted about “National Keep Your Child at Home Day“. This post was picked up by World Net Daily and posted on Free Republic leading to an onslaught of traffic, tons of e-mails and contacts with some people I wouldn’t even believe. It also caused a ton of comments in our post, first by people who were mostly supportive, and then an ever increasing number of astroturfers trying to quiet our dissent. At one point, a liberal blogger was commenting multiple times in the span of a few minutes… trying to somehow prove he was right and bury all those who disagree. He was also likely trying to benefit from the huge amount of traffic our site has been inundated with over the past two days. Regardless, the motives of that poster and a few others were crystal clear…. they don’t want debate, they don’t even want to hear our voice. All they want is to scream from the hilltops that they won, they are right, and to drown out anyone else.
When I blocked the main astroturfing poster he had the audacity to create another account and try again, posting three times in less than a minute. Yup, I blocked those too. Not because I’m afraid of dissenting voices, but because I’m afraid people want to quiet our voice. See the difference?
You can always pick out those who aren’t interested in a serious discussion. Instead of talking about this President, they bring up Bush. Instead of talking about the facts, they call you a racist. Instead of debating the merits of a word like “socialism” they tell you it doesn’t apply, but refuse to explain why. They inaccurately characterize what you said to prove their own invalid point. But its not just online and its not just blogs.
FoxNews carried a video of a Pro-Health Care protester the other day. His advice to town hall goers when someone who opposes Health Care asks a question… stand up and drown them out.
The SEIU has called for “drowning out” ObamaCare opponents too.
MSNBC famously reported that a racist white guy was carrying a gun outside of an Obama town hall meeting supposedly because he feared a black President. Of course the camera cut off the guy’s face who, guess what, was black. Why do they want to paint protesters as racists or worse? To shut us up.
Nancy Pelosi, Steny Hoyer and others have criticized protesters as “un-American”. Harry Reid calls us “evil-mongers“. Why? They want to shut us up.
This isn’t about party. This isn’t about Bush. Many of us protested President Bush’s expansion of the federal government too. But that little fact doesn’t play well into the leftist game, so they ignore it and paint us as un-American, racist, Republican hacks who only care about party. They couldn’t be farther from the truth.
This has nothing to do with party. This has nothing to do with race. But it has EVERYTHING to do with our country. Tired of being kicked into silence, tired of watching our nation’s values waste away, we have woken up. The sleeping giant has woken up. And we won’t be quiet any more. The more they try to shut us up, the louder we will become. The more they try to keep us down, the taller we will stand. We’re not crazy because we don’t want the President indoctrinating our children… we are paying attention. We are not insane because we think he is a socialist… we have been watching his every move. We’re not uneducated because we fear the massive expansion of powers and debts… we know exactly what we are talking about. We study history. We study America. We want to defend our nation and keep our people free.
More and more people are starting the feel this way. More and more Americans are waking up to the reality that our government and both sides of the political aisle have been destroying our nation and mortgaging our children’s future. The left doesn’t like it. They don’t like that their punching bag is starting to punch back. They fear their stranglehold over the media and academia is slipping away. They fear the government involvement in our daily life that keeps them in power is slipping away. And they are right, it is slipping away. The left is about to be left behind and they are not happy about it. But that won’t stop us. We are taking our country back.

AMEN, Brother!!! We are finding our voices and our feet, we will shout and we will stand for “America the Beautiful”!!!
