Inner Beltway Attitude

Is it any wonder that the clowns in Washington have no clue what the American people need or want?  These people are supposed to be servants.  They are supposed to work for us.  They are supposed to be motivated to help the republic, improve the circumstance for the next generation, and then move on back to private life.  Unfortunately, few of them consider their Constitutional role.  Instead they are part of a monarchy, and a power structure that rewards waste and control, not service.

If ever there was a clear example of this, it has been the past few weeks.

• When Senator Arlen Specter (Former RINO – PA) was receiving tough questions from constituents in a town hall, he responded by saying: “I could be somewhere else. I don’t get [any] extra pay. I don’t have any requirement to be here.”
• When Representative Sheila Jackson Lee (D – TX) was hearing comments and questions from a cancer survivor who opposes government health care, she decided to multitask.  While the constituent was talking, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee started talking on her cell phone.
• Senator Kay Hagan (D – NC), who is not having town hall meetings, schedules times for constituents to speak with her when she is not even going to be there.  But they can talk to her staff.
• Representative Baron Hill (D – IND) calls ObamaCare protesters “political terrorists“
• Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D – CA) and Representative Steny Hoyer (D – MD) called us “un-American“
• Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D – NV) said we are “evil-mongers“.
• Representative Eugene Green (D – TX) who opposes ID checks for voting is requiring ID checks to see him at a town hall meeting.
• and President Obama, who continually misrepresents proposed health care plans (and his own statements) calls all of the opposition “disinformation”.  He even plants school children in the audience to call protesters names and deflect his own criticism.

The arrogance of this group is astounding.  Constant criticism of those who oppose your plan, acting like you are doing your constituents a favor by talking to them, talking on your cell phone while someone is asking you a question, lying about the plans and your own past assuming no one will check up on it. These people either think we are stupid or we are beneath them.  Either way, they have forgotten who put them in office and their purpose for being there.

It’s time we remind them.
