Let me briefly interrupt this long hiatus to announce what you no doubt have already heard, and what will be the topic of conversation for days to come… Osama Bin Laden is dead.
I don’t believe I’ve ever cheered after the death of any human being… but tonight I’ve come very close. The President of the United States deserves some credit tonight, as does the former President whose policies have largely been continued. But moreso than them, a special thanks to the United States military… who have continued this fight day in and day out even when the rest of us let it slip from the forefront of our mind. God Bless the United States Military.
I’m not sure how this affects the Greater War on Terror on the ground, but it will certainly make changes in some minds. It may have taken nearly 10 years, and the fight may be far from over, but let this be a lesson… the United States will never give up the fight.
