From the Frontlines was a huge success. Instead of raising $500,000 for care packages to send to our troops in Afghanistan and Iraq, Move America Forward raised over $1.5 Million! And if you haven’t contributed its not too late. Care Packages start at just $15.99, and there’s still time for you to send one to a service man or woman on the front lines fighting for our country.
With a few days until the Fourth, isn’t it a great time to remember not only how we gained our independence but the men and women who continue to keep us free?
According to a recent poll, Canadian citizens would rather vote for Barack Obama than their own leaders.
Canada, you can have him. Thank God U.S. Citizens choose the President of the United States of America. Otherwise, John Kerry would be President.
I’m still moving stuff over from my old blog (elephantusa.blogspot.com) and getting stuff situated here. Today, I received a lovely and highly articulate comment from an Obama Troll named Jaylyn (who didn’t have the courage to link to her own blog or profile). A copy of that comment is placed below (edited to remove the profanity):
SHUT THE %$&! UP WITH ALL THIS &%!!$#&^!!!!!! MCCAIN CAN $&#@ #@&&$!!! OBAMA ROCKS YOU @!&% WEED!
P.S. MCCAIN IS THE DEVIL!!!!!!!!!
From- your worst nightmare!!!!!!!!
See, I told you it was articulate. Jaylyn, whomever you are, if you are an example of an Obama supporter than I am very proud not to be on your side. You are not my worst nightmare, but an Obama Presidency certainly is. Actually, that’s only partially true… people like you having the right to vote is also high on the nightmare list. Who needs civil discourse when there are raving lunatics like you who have nothing better to do than post profanity-laced diatribes on websites. I articulate my reasons for opposing Obama. And I’m not a big McCain fan either (which I have also explained) but consider him much better than the alternative (the Socialist you seem to support). Compare my commentary to your comments — a potty-mouthed rant laced with some semblance of a pathetic threat. My worst nightmare? Not exactly… but if you are part of my country and our future than Heaven help us all.
Why don’t you join your Lemming buddies and go ahead and jump off the cliff. There’s no need to wait for November. I promise, the rest of us will do fine without you.
If you spend 15 seconds reading the entire article, you would understand that this was not likely caused by actual Anti-Obama sentiment, but rather some idiots just being stupid who couldn’t think of anything much to say. They did also write pro-legalization and anti-prison messages on the cars (not exactly messages consistent with the normal anti-obama crowd), along with “How ‘Bout them Gators” and stealing gas caps. But the headline will just be “Anti-Obama” vandalism” and you’ll find some talking heads using it to talk about racism in this country…. how far we’ve come with Mr. Obama on the ticket but how far we still have to go.
This kind of thing getting news attention will only strengthen the Obama candidacy and further entrench his position with the mindless Lemmings who believe he offers change but don’t really pay attention to what that change is. I’ve been telling friends for a while, whether he becomes martyr/messiah to the masses or President to the country… he really can’t lose. Too bad its not based on anything he has to offer, but rather our society’s need to feel good about itself by electing a black man, even if that man has nothing to offer us but socialism, higher takes and cultural regression.
Its sad really… Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. dreamed that people would one day be judged on the content of their character rather than the color of their skin. Yet time and time again, Obama’s character is deemed by the mindless and the media as not important or racist if you even question it. And as my wife points out… comparisons to JFK are just ridiculous. JFK asked us to find out what we could do for our country, but all Obama promises are things that the country can do for you: free health care, free college tuition, no personal responsibility for your mortgages, no personal responsibility for anything… the list goes on and on…
Its time for a change alright. Its time for the masses and the media to collectively wake up. They hate Bush so bad that they are looking for the opposite of Bush… an Anti-War Black man who is extremely articulate and doesn’t sound like he’s from the South. The so-called “change” is so enticing that they don’t know or care what the change is. The very fiber of our nation and our greatness as a country is at stake, and the change they promise will only intensify the decline.
The Politically Correct crowd has done it again, trying to rewrite history because they can’t afford to re-write the musical Ragtime. After purchasing the rights to the musical in January, Wilmette Park District (Wilmette, IL) canceled the show just 12 days before opening night. Why? The use of the N-Word.
Wilmette Park District Executive Director Tom Grisamore said he made the decision to pull the show 12 days after learning the details of dialogue and lyrics that include use of the “n-word.” The show was set to open July 10 for three weekends in the Starlight Theater free outdoor concert series
Forget what the show is actually about or that there may be lessons to be learned and historical context to be understood. Everything has to be (for lack of a better term) white-washed. If you censor anything that offends anyone, what’s left?
The show’s director gets it (too bad park officials don’t), saying:
“You take that word out of this story and you invalidate my history as an African-American male,” said Perry.
“Do I like the word? No. But to pretend nobody said it is wrong. I wouldn’t even consider doing that,” Perry said. “Context is everything, and it’s not gratuitous, it’s not for shock value.
“How can we learn about our present if we don’t educate people about what happened in our past?”
Agreed. And for park officials, it only gets better. Like good liberals, the decision makers who paid for the show only to kill it might want their money back. “Also unclear is whether the district will be able to get back any of $2,500 paid for the rights to run the show. Here’s a thought: If you can’t take responsibility for your own actions and decisions, don’t try to take responsibility for what everyone else can see or hear.
From the Frontlines airs today at 4pm EST (less than 1.5 hours away). If you aren’t familiar with the concept, From the Frontlines is an 8-hour Web-A-Thon designed to support our troops and generate the largest single shipment of care packages in U.S. History. From the Frontlines includes MoveAmerica Forward’s Melanie Morgan and HotAir/FoxNews contributor Michelle Malkin along with Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, Laura Ingraham and more.
Of course I have something to say about the Supreme Court ruling protecting the Second Amendment this morning… but its not here. The American Elephant Blog is moving to a new address, and preliminary commentary about the Second Amendment as well as a few other things are already available at the new address. I’ll have more in depth commentary on the subject later… which was truly a landmark decision in protecting our Constitutional rights (which honestly should have been completely unnecessary).
The new blog address is: http://americanelephant.com/category/blog/
Please excuse the mess as we work on the layout and some of the new features. I’ll also begin moving all of the old blog posts over in the near future… and hopefully leverage the new format to write more often.
Thanks for stopping by. Now go take hand gun lessons and celebrate your constitutional protections from an overbearing government.
This morning, the United States Supreme Court over-turned the Washington D.C. ban on handguns, stating in part:
Whatever the reason, handguns are the most popular weapon chosen by Americans for self-defense in the home, and a complete prohibition of their use is invalid.
In sum, we hold that the District’s ban on handgun possession in the home violates the Second Amendment, as does its prohibition against rendering any lawful firearm in the home operable for the purpose of immediate self-defense.
This is a great day for America. Its sad that this issue had to be brought to the Supreme Court in the first place, as the right to bear arms is paramount to maintaining a free citizenry protected from an overbearing government. And in a time when the Supreme Court has made some pathetic decisions, its nice to see, at least in regards to the right to protect oneself, that the Second Amendment will not be trampled upon.
Feeling the squeeze of $4+ per gallon of gas, Americans are changing their driving patterns. Gasoline demand dropped 2.3 percent from this time last year, evidence that Americans are finding alternatives for their driving patterns. But there is only so much driving you can cut back. If your company doesn’t support flexible work schedules and you have to get to the store, unless you are in a large city with other commute options, driving might be your only alternative.
Certainly as a nation we need to reduce our dependence on foreign oil, lucky for us there are strong oil reserves right in our own backyard. According to a recent Zogby Poll, 79% of Americans support off shore coastal drilling, and 59% support drilling in ANWR (that number might be higher if not for the years of liberal propaganda on the subject).
Our country has natural oil resources three times greater than the current oil reserves of Saudi Arabia. Isn’t it time to start drilling here and stop propping up global oil prices to benefit the Middle East?
Join the Off Shore Drill Team and send a message to Congress and the world that enough is enough. Its time to use our own natural resources to protect our economy and our sovereignty. We can lower gas prices and create jobs right here at home.
Sign the Petition at American Solutions and tell Congress its time to drill, now.
Didn’t think Elephants went to the beach? You might be surprised just where you’ll find Conservatives wearing American Elephant gear.

Melanie is wearing an American Elephant GOP T-Shirt on the pier at the Sheraton in Atlantic Beach, North Carolina.
Personally, this month has been crazy for the AmericanElephant, but that doesn’t excuse me missing some linkage by Fox’s Heather Nauert, in her post “Obama Undies, Candidate Cola, —Who Buys This Stuff? And FNC’s Youth Vote Special“.
Heather, lots of people buy this stuff. Our sales, especially for Anti-Obama gear have gone up dramatically since Hillary ceded the nomination. We’ve also been selling quite a bit of Anti-Global Warming gear as well. Conservatives might not be as vocal as those on the left… we’re off taking care of our families and making payroll… but we still hold our ideals and love of country close to our heart and sometimes we wear it on our sleeves. And yes… underwear works too.
Our “We The People” desktop wallpaper was created exclusively for visitors of the AmericanElephant.com website and is available in a variety of sizes for both traditional (4:3) and widescreen (16:9 & 16:10) monitors.

AmericanElephant.com is currently undergoing a redesign. The new format is already online, but many features are still under construction and the old blog posts have not been moved over yet. Please excuse our mess as we upgrade. Once complete (in a few days) the American Elephant Blog and American Elephant Apparel Company will all be under one roof and include some new features, new apparel designs, and some free stuff thrown in for good measure.
Even with the transition underway, you can still shop the American Elephant Store for the greatest Pro-Conservative, Anti-Liberal (and Anti-Obama) designs. And if you are looking for something a bit different or more personalized, just let us know.
